No Revolution Sunday!

There will be no Bible Bowl or Revoluition this Sunday! Enjoy your week off from school. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and go ahead consume a lot of FOOD! I will!

Awaken Student Conference

We will be meeting Friday at the Youth House @ 6:00 to go to Blennerhassett Middle School for the rally. We will arrive back at the youth house for pick up at 9:00.
If you have signed up already but have not paid you need to bring $25 with you. If you did not sign up, but still wish to go to the rally you need to bring $35.
Saturday we will meet at the youth house at 8:30AM and arrive back at 9:45 PM. We will be going to the mall food court for dinner. You will need to bring your own money for this and we may a short amount of time to do some shopping.
Sunday we will meet at the youth house at 9:00 and return around 12:00.

Heart 2 Heart

Heart 2 Heart will be tonight at the Ice's (202 37th st.) from 6:30 -7:30!

Girls' Sleepover

Girls! Don't forget: Tonight Jessie has invited all the teen girls for a sleepover. Bring your sleeping bags and have a great night hanging out and watching movies. Come at 8PM and pick up will be on Tuesday (Veteran's Day) at noon.

5th Quarter!

We will have a 5th Quarter this Friday @ the Youth House from 9-11:30. Pool, ping-pong, PS2, Wii, Balderdash, & Don't forget $2 for pizza. Be there!

VOLLEYBALL!

This Sunday, we will meet at the North Campus Gym with the 36th st. youth group to play volleyball and enjoy fellowship from 2-5. Please make plans to attend, it should be a lot of fun! Parents need to drop off and pick up at OVU's NC gym. There wiil be no Bible Bowl this week and this time will replace our normal Revolution.

*COOK OUT*

There will be a Cook Out at the Youth House /Student Center this Saturday evening from 6-8pm!

Please come and join the food and fun!

Back to School BASH!

Come join us Sat. night (Aug. 23rd) at the GC Student Center!! We will be having fun and games to celebrate together one more time before school starts. 

The fun starts at 7pm and ends at 10pm.

Pizza and Prayer!

Tonight at 6pm, we are having a get-together at the Youth House. Our plan is to start with Pizza, and then we are planning on having some prayer time as a Youth Group. I hope that all of you will make an effort to come and join in on the fun!

Local Mission Trip

Here's the Mission Trip Run Down...


Wednesday- 
*Meet in the Youth House for class at 7pm.
*After class, we will head to "Clown Golf" in Boaz, WV (don't let the putt-putt name scare you, lol). Bring a few bucks (around $3) to cover the cost of putt-putt.
*After putt-putt, we will then head back to the Youth House and have a Devo.
*After the Devo, the girls will go with Jessie to her house and Ryan and Cody will stay with the boys at the Youth House (This will be the same Wed.-Fri. night). 

Thursday-
*Around 10am, we will head to nursing homes to sing to the people there.
*We will then head to the Youth House for Lunch at Noon.
*1pm-3:30pm, we will be baking cookies, making cards, and door knocking at Powell Apts.
*3:30pm-5:30pm, we will be delivering our delicious cookies.
*6pm-8pm, we will be having dinner with Elders/Members.
*We will then hang out for a while and then have a devo at around 10pm.

Friday-
*Leaving at 7am from the Youth House for Cleveland.
*Some things that we will be doing in Cleveland are...visiting and doing crafts with the children at the Cleveland Clinic, visiting the Tower City Mall, and eating at the HardRock Cafe'.
*Ariving back to the Youth House at around 10pm.

Saturday-
*Noon, we will meet at the Youth House for Lunch.
*1pm, we will leave to go to the Marietta Water Park.
*6pm-8pm, we will be having a pizza and game night with the Prime Timers.
*8pm-9pm, we will pack and clean up.
*9pm, we will have a Youth and Parent Devotional at the Youth House.
*Then the 2008 GC Local Teen Mission Trip will officially be over, and will go down in history as one of the best Mission Trips EVER!! 

We just wanted to thank everyone who made it to the 6th Grade Welcome Party. We had a lot of fun, especially with the scavenger hunt. Ryan has learned his lesson and will not put "dead animals" on the list of items to bring back. For those of you who were not there, we had 4 groups who went on a scavenger hunt around town. One of the items you could get and bring back for 150 points was a dead animal. Ryan, being Ryan, thought that no one would do this and IF they did it would be some type of dead bug (i.e., fly). However, the groups returned with a dead turtle, dead mole, dead crow, freshly hit chipmunk (they say it was an accident), and the one that earned a group an extra 20 bonus points was.......drum roll please....... a dead SKUNK!!!!! One group scooped up a dead skunk and drove around with it in the back of a van for a half an hour! The van smelled horribly! I'm not sure how many cans of Glade was used that night, but it had to be a lot. We had a ton of fun and we hate that some people weren't able to make it. BUT....there is always next time. Make sure to check the calendar on the Blog for the upcoming events!
