Youth House Work Day

Well, we worked really hard today at the youth house. It was a bigger job than we had anticipated. We know that we for sure found at least 5 different wallpapers on the wall and perhaps more. After scraping and scraping and scraping some more, there is still more scraping to do. But one fine day... It'll be worth it.

Adam's Tag

Hey guys. I've been in Nashville all week for grad school. I'm coming home tomorrow (Friday) evening. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you again. And now...just to shock everyone who doesn't think I'll do this...here's my "tag":

10 years ago I: was 19 years old and starting college at Troy State University. At that point I thought I was going into broadcast journalism.

5 years ago I: was 24 years old and was married to Dana, still it total shock that someone as wonderful as her would marry me.

1 year ago I: was still in total shock that someone as wonderful as Dana married me, had been a Dad for a little over a year to my beautiful little girl, and was living in Panama City, FL

Yesterday I was: In Nashville at Grad School missing my wife, daughter, and youth group.

5 snacks i enjoy: Bearclaws, Bananna Nut Muffins from Starbucks, Twix, Cool Ranch Doritos, Movie Theater Popcorn

5 songs i know by heart: "No Such Thing" by John Mayer, "Hanging by a Moment" by Lifehouse, "In The Light" by D.C. Talk, "Creed" by Third Day, "Who Am I" by Casting Crowns

5 things i would do with a million dollars: Give some to church, pay off my car, pay off the house, put some in a savings account for Emma, buy a bunch of useless junk

5 places i would run away to: I have no reason to run away.

5 things i would never wear: Anything pink, spandex, a speedo, bellbottoms, leather pants

5 favorite t.v shows: Smallville, E.R., American Idol, Crossing Jordan, Extreme Makeover Home Edition

5 Bad Habits: zoning out, not listening well sometimes, staying up too late, not eating healthy, caffine

5 greatest joys: Dana, Emma, Jesus, my job, the youth group

5 fictional characters i would date: Umm...I'm married

Who needs to do this now:
anyone in the youth group who hasn't done it yet. Seriously, if I did it then you have no excuse.

Movie Night

Since we didn't have small groups and Heart to Heart isn't this week, we are going to have a movie night at our house tomorow night. Tuesday.. We will be watching Frequency. The movie is rated PG-13 all though language won't be a problem since we have a profanity filter on the TV. If your parents have any questions they can CLICK HERE to check out a review

We will order pizza and start the movie at 6:00 . It should last about two hours.

Soccer Game

Hope you all had a great first day of school. Because of the weather, we are going to postpone going to the soccer game. Keep an eye on the youth blog to find out when it's rescheduled.
