We had a great day today. We basically finished the concrete today. Everyone has been working really hard, plus it was hotter today than yesterday. I'm not totally sure what we'll be doing the rest of the week, but I think we may be building more walls. The lunches have been phenomenal. I have added a link to the sidebar to Matt Wilson's Blog. Two days down and two more days of helping the Mexican Christians build a church building. A lot of hard work is getting done.
Here is what we accomplished just today:

2,640 lbs. of cement
480 buckets of dirt for the cement
288 wheel barrel loads of concrete
34 young people and adults from Grand Central and Cedars pouring and mixing the cement
SERVING GOD BY SERVING PEOPLE - PRICELESS!

Another Note From Kevin

Day one in Cd Acuna, Mexico was a great success! The Grand Central and Cedar group worked well together and got a lot of work accomplished. We worked for seven hours mixing and pouring concrete. The weather wasn't too bad. God blessed us with a nice breeze and cloudy skies. All of you would have been proud of how hard our young people have worked. The church building we are helping build has fifteen members and some of them are working along side of us. They are excited that we are here and they are very appreciative of the help we are providing them. It is awesome to see Christians from different places working together for one cause - Jesus Christ our Lord! Continue to keep our group in your prayers as we serve our Lord in Mexico.

A Note From Adam

Well, we're in Del Rio. We started off the day with cold showers (no hot water at the Red Roof Inn in San Antonio) and a worship service at the Oak Hills Church (Max was out of town this weekend). We went to lunch and then got in a bus and headed to Del Rio. We've rested and had a devo togther. Tomorrow is our first day of actual work. We are doing well. Both groups are mixing well and getting to know each other. We are exicted to see what God is going to do.
